Jump the Crank is an arcade game exclusively on the Playdate
Use the crank to control the movement of a jump rope as you jump through progressively harder and crazier levels!
Multiple Levels
Progress through 10 characters, each giving a unique twist on jumping rope! Characters Include:
- Normal Jump Rope- nice and casual. Jump rope and learn the controls!
- Dodgeball- Dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge the balls being thrown at you as you continue to jump over the rope!
- Rhythm- Play a classic rhythm game, that gets progressively harder, while continuing to jump!
- Juggle- Can you keep three balls in the air without falling on the rope?
- Tilt- Physically tilt the Playdate to the side to keep a ball on the platform, all while timing your jumps!
- ......and more!
Endless Replayability
- Compete with your friends for high scores
- Enjoy all 10 game modes, or just master your favorite!

Hello, I had the chance to test your game on one of my French-language Playdate livestreams, and I loved it!
It works really well, and I was worried it might be monotonous in terms of gameplay, but the levels with the “alternate gameplay” and the progression curve are very well managed!
I didn't show everything in the game during the livestream, as I still have the last level at 2,000 points to unlock, but I'll try to do that before next week's livestream. Good luck with your development on Playdate ;) .
love this game!! Music is really great and the art and gameplay variety provides so much depth! Art is adorable too. One suggestion to introduce an element of risk taking would be to add a timer for some rounds. Thinking something like the dodge mode, having a limited time in the round would encourage more risk taking rather than playing very safe. Overall great game!

Hee hee hee. This is so cute/charming/whimsical.
Suggestion: The more difficult the game mode, the more tokens awarded per jumped rope.
Crash: When unlocking Bard, the game crashes on my Playdate (OS 2.7.2).
I just found the cause of the crash, thanks for pointing it out. A patch will be live shortly!
And that's a good idea with the increased tokens for the harder games. Gives more incentive to play the tougher challenges
